On 18 July 2026, the Julius Maada Bio International Conference Centre (JMBICC) in Lungi was officially commissioned by His Excellency Dr. Julius Maada Bio, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone and Chair of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government. The Centre was delivered by FB GROUP as the main contractor.
The commissioning formed part of a major regional gathering in Lungi, bringing together West African leaders and senior representatives of regional and international institutions.
The following day, on 19 July, JMBICC hosted the 69th Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government, welcoming Heads of State and Government, ministers, senior officials and delegates from across the region.
Located adjacent to Freetown International Airport, the new conference complex includes a main conference hall, Presidential and Ministerial areas, meeting and executive spaces, a media centre and dedicated facilities designed to host high-level international meetings and events. The Julius Maada Bio International Conference Centre marks another major project delivered by FB GROUP in Sierra Leone, following the new terminal at Freetown International Airport.
